Meditation Opening Prayer

Feel your lungs expand, breathe in the breath of the Holy Spirit,

Breathe in the Holy Spirit into your lungs.

Exhale the worries of today (repeat a few times)

Starting at the top of your head do an inventory:

Is your mind busy with things to do?

Notice it, accept it and recognize this is how you are coming to Jesus.

Shake your shoulders, roll them around a few times,

remembering to breathe in deeply and exhaling the tension.

Relax                            Put your hand on your chest

Check your heart, are you burdened, hurting, worried?

This is where you are right now, Jesus already knows your heart,

Accept it, accept that you come burdened, breathe out that stress.

Check in with your back and hips, wiggle around in your seat a minute,

then return to a comfortable sit.

What do you notice?

Move your legs, one at a time if you want, feel your feet, they anchor you.

Have them firmly planted

Scripture talks of trees anchored, be deeply rooted by the streams of living water.

Put your feet down, feel rooted.

Now, turn to your soul, find your soul space,

the place where you sit with Jesus.

Notice how it looks, see yourself sitting down with Jesus.

Breathe in again, now with the Spirit in you,

Now, you are focused and ready to talk with your Savoir.

I am here Lord.
